Coach Brian Tumpowsky

"I'm a former 3-sport athlete, 3-sport captain, high school varsity player, captain, and club college player (Big Ten).  As a father of two daughters, I started coaching girls at the YMCA and now have coached elementary, middle school, and High School players.   PG Hoops AAU was founded because there was a need for competitive basketball for girls in the area.  We are now in our 7th year and have offered girls from Princeton to East Brunswick to Wrightsville to Florence to West Windsor the chance to play and compete against the area's best.  We have accumulated championships through the years, but I'm prouder to see how these girls grow as people and as players through our program.  I also tell parents I guarantee their daughters will be better overall basketball players -- whether it's specific skills, know-how of the game, the effort it takes to win, etc. -- when they finish the season.  I'm happy to say that I've never been questioned on this point, and girls keep coming to PGH as a haven for serious play and serious fun.  I use skills and drills, performance training, game strategy talk, and scrimmaging to get the girls prepared for basketball and life."
